One of the benefits I enjoyed while being pregnant was soft, smooth skin on my face. I loved the way it felt. Inevitably, however, it disappeared and I missed it. I want it back!
Not looking to add to the Gardner clan just to get soft skin on my face, I decided to start experimenting with a variety of products. I experienced a variety of results. My least favorite? Dry, rough skin. Some products caused me to breakout more. Eventually, I tried doTERRA’s skin care line. It was a great improvement, but wasn’t exactly how I wanted. That is, until I added doTERRA’s Immortelle Anti-Aging Blend.
What I found was skin that was not only soft, but the fine lines and developing wrinkles were less pronounced. I liked the way I looked and the way my skin felt.
Here is a popular short video about Immortelle:
So what is in this amazing blend? What are the benefits?
Frankincense Resin is known to reduce the appearance of blemishes and to rejuvenate the skin.
Hawaiian Sandalwood is touted for its ability to improve the look of your skin and hair.
Lavender Flower soothes occasional skin irritations and reduces appearance of skin imperfections.
Myrrh is soothing to the skin; promotes a smooth, youthful-looking complexion, and helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Helichrysum Flower reduces the appearance of blemishes and wrinkles and to promote a glowing, youthful complexion.
Rose Flower helps balance moisture levels in the skin, reduces the appearance of skin imperfections, and promotes an even skin tone and healthy complexion.
I think it’s safe to say that we’ve all experienced facial products that flat out stink. This is not the case with Immortelle. It is woody, spicy, rich, fresh. I have found that the scent doesn’t linger either. This is important because no one wants to smell you before they see you or leave a lasting impression based solely on smell.
Are There Any Safety Precautions?
As with all essential oil products, keep it away from eyes, sensitive skin areas, and out of the ears. Immortelle is not labeled for internal nor oral use. It’s not recommended for diffusing either. So use it topically only for best results. There is the possibility of skin sensitivity. If you experience this, use a carrier oil to dilute it.
Also, make sure that if you are under a doctor’s care to list all supplements and essential oils that you use when they ask for a list of medications. While essential oils are not considered medication or drugs, this information may help you and your doctor make the best plans for your needs.
Where are some great places to apply ?
I like to apply Immortelle wherever I have fine lines, blemishes, or places where women are most likely to develop them in the future. Think about near the eyes, between the eyebrows, near your smile, neck all the way down to the neckline of my lowest dress or shirt. A little goes a long way. I focus most on areas of concern, then spread what is on my face to other areas.
