Walking for Fitness May 18, 2016

Hey folks! It’s been a while since I posted. I’ve been off at a mentoring retreat and have increased the time I spend working on the skills my mentors give me and passing that valuable knowledge onto my family and the people I mentor. Mentoring is such a great opportunity because I get to see the results of empowering people as they go from point A to point B. They’re very excited once they reach their goals. However, there are always obstacles along the way and I get to help them over come them as they go.

That’s not the point of why you’re here, though, is it? I didn’t think so. Let’s get back on topic. I consistently exercise every day.  Up above you can see the personalized logo that the people behind You VS the Year challenge let me make.

Below, you can see that I’ve moved up in the ranks as far as where I place in the challenge. I hit a HUGE milestone in my 1000 km goal this week. I’m HALF WAY DONE! WAHOO!You vs year challenge 18 May 2016Another personal accomplishment occurred last week when I ran 3.5 miles without stopping for a drink or to catch my breath. This is AWESOME!

Also, I can’t remember if I said anything in the last little bit, but since I started my running challenge, I went from size 16 to size 8 pants. I haven’t lost a ton of weight, and I wouldn’t want to because obnoxious amounts of weight loss is hard on several organs. Instead, I’ve built muscle, sleep well at night, and I feel great about myself.

At the end of April, I finished a Lifestyle Competition. I haven’t heard who won or lost. I’d love to win, but I figure I’m a winner already because I’ve accomplished so much this year and I continue to reach more goals.

Here’s a sneak peek at my photo from my competition wearing my size 8 pants. OH YEAH!

What exciting goals have you achieved this year? It doesn’t matter how big or small, as long as it excites you, I’d LOVE to hear about them.
